Iwata Bolt USA, Inc.
Architect: PDT Architecture
Owner: Iwata Bolt
Iwata Bolt's new 117,338 square foot manufacturing plant is located on Union Centre Boulevard, east of Seward, with approximately 13,000 sq. feet devoted to office space. Iwata Bolt, a maker of bolts and fasteners for the automotive and consumer products industries, made the move to Fairfield because many of their customers are located in the Tri-State area.
While the parent company is located in Japan, Iwata Bolt USA built the new facility to consolidate 2 U.S. operations, one in Dayton, Ohio and one in Garden Grove, California.
The building is constructed of site-cast tilt-up concrete wall panels with a steel roof structure and membrane roof. The warehouse/manufacturing area is constructed of 30 to 35 foot x 25 foot site-cast tilt-up concrete insulated sandwich panels. The interior is supported by structural steel and steel joists. This area also includes a separated area for parts plating which was designed for chemical containment.
The office space has an all glass exterior curtain wall on 2 sides. The finishes in the office are all high-end finishes.
Ferguson Construction, a general contractor serving both Ohio and Indiana, developed this Industrial Manaufacturing Plant in Fairfield, Ohio on Union Centre Boulevard.
