Temple Beth Or, a Reform Congregation in south Dayton on Marshall Road, was founded in 1984 by a group of dedicated Jewish families who wanted their children to have a Jewish education and a place to worship as a congregation. Almost a quarter century later, Temple Beth Or is a full-service congregation large enough to offer a variety of educational and community programs, yet small enough to maintain a feeling of intimacy.
In 2009, the Temple needed to expand and add a social hall, enhance the exterior of the facility, renovate their school and add commercial kitchen capabilities. Ferguson Construction built an 8,122 sq. ft. addition to accomodate the Temple's needs.
Construction features include recessed decorative block walls with individual recessed blocks, a front entry canopy with drive-up drop-off zone, a large social hall with partition and a new commercial kitchen.
