Sacred Heart of Jesus Church

Owner: Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish

Sacred Heart of Jesus Church is located in Anna, Ohio. The project consisted of an Addition and Renovation to the existing church structure due to the continued growth of the parish.

The 18,362 sq. ft. new church addition includes a 9,200 sq. ft. sanctuary and a 9,200 sq. ft. lower level for educational classrooms. The exterior is steel and masonry with EIFS applied to match the existing limestone adjoining structure. Ferguson was able to replicate the pattern and color tones of the old building, resulting in seamless integration of the new and the old.

By connecting the new sanctuary to the old church, the former sanctuary was opened up and converted into a gathering place. The new sanctuary seats 640 and was dedicated by the Archbishop of Cincinnati in 2007.
