In their descriptive brochure, the Glen at St. Joseph describes itself this way: “The Glen is a residential campus for single mothers with young children who have demonstrated a sincere desire to continue their education and create a better life for their families. The Glen offers families a safe, positive place to live along with providing numerous support services. Families live in furnished two-bedroom apartments."
"The complex also includes an early learning center for children, shared family and play areas, a classroom with computers, a library, a chapel and offices for support staff.” Ferguson began construction of the 105,000 SF two-story brick and stone main facility in August, 2005.
"The Glen is a gift to the community by the Mathile Family and the Mathile Foundation, and was built to serve families for many years to come,” said Greg Edwards, Executive Director, The Mathile Family Foundation. “We were so pleased that this project came in under budget and on time. Communications were excellent between Ferguson, the architect and ourselves. No stress.”
