Ferguson Construction Participates in Relay for Life

September 2010

Relay for Life of Shelby County is a county-wide effort to raise money that goes directly to the American Cancer Society to fund the research to find a cure for all cancers.

Kathy Marsh represented Ferguson Construction Company and was Captain of this year's team.  Tracy Eck (who helped her chair this year's event) and Kathy stayed up for over 24 hours, which included 18 hours of Relay plus set up and tear down.

Everyone showed up on time and ready to work and walk, and everyone had a really good time participating.  Ferguson earned the Bronze Heart award for contributing between $1,000 and $2,400 to the Relay. Ferguson Construction Company as a team generated a total of $1,563.87.  The Relay official total is $239,000 for Sidney county.

Ferguson's Mission Moment entry won Most Informative – on Lung Cancer.  Ferguson will be receiving that back at the end of August also and will have it on display in the office so that everyone can see.

Thanks much to all those that participated!
