Vandalia-Butler demolition starts

The old Vandalia-Butler High School located on N. Dixie in Vandalia is being razed in preparation for the new school. Track hoes are on-site tearing the out-dated school down.
Ferguson Construction was awarded the project in March of 2010 and began work. The new high school will be approximately 111,000 square feet. The new 2 story school will include a media center, a gymnasium, classrooms, a theatre, a music and vocal room, a reading room, student dining, and a woodshop.
