Ferguson broke ground on Blanchard Valley Hospital's New Imaging and Women's Center today.
The 19,000-square-foot facility, to be completed by summer 2009, will provide digital mammography, bone density tests and outpatient imaging. Officials hope it will ease congestion at Blanchard Valley Hospital and allow for more privacy and efficiency for outpatient procedures.
The center will offer computed tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasounds. It also will have a general diagnostic radiology room and an outpatient laboratory.
