Ferguson Construction Vice President receives prestigious award

The Forty under 40 awards are held yearly by the Dayton Business Journal with candidates nominated from the entire region. Winners of the Forty under 40 awards are considered leaders in their respective businesses and deserve recognition for what they contribute. Criteria for winners include development of a successful career as well as finding a way to volunteer their time and expertise to make their community a better place to live.

Mr. Fortkamp says, “My number one career goal is to have established valued relationships with fellow employees, clients and other business associates that emphasize why Ferguson Construction is such a great company to have worked with and for.” He also states, “I am driven to succeed by my desire to make things better.  If you have the ability and resources to improve something, I believe you have a moral obligation to do so.”

Mr. Fortkamp is from Minster, Ohio, and lives in Troy with his wife Jessica and their 2 daughters. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Dayton in 1995 and then went on to earn a Master’s of Business Administration Degree from Wright State University in 2001.

Fortkamp joined Ferguson Construction in 1997 as Project Manager and has 13 years experience in project and operations management in the construction industry. As Vice President of Operations, Fortkamp oversees the entire construction process for the Sidney, Dayton and Columbus, Ohio offices of Ferguson Construction Company.
